Diagnosis

Anya realized she needed help. She lived an average life and overall used to be happy, however as time passed, she started feeling anxious about different things. She would have triggers that made her feel like the world was ending and had panic attacks at random times. She visited a therapist and after multiple sessions, she started to get better. She was starting to feel relieved and proud of the fact that she had the courage to ask for help rather than just bottling up her emotions like most people do. She began to enjoy life more and focused on her aspiration of being a game designer. She attended a well-known university and graduated with top marks. One day she decided to make a game about depression, something experimental in nature. She made a card game about diagnosis of various conditions, and it was something she was really wanted to make. As she made the game, she wanted to clear many doubts and the best person to help clear them would be the therapist that helped her overcome depression. She started to talk to her therapist and soon realized that the more she learnt, the more she wanted help herself as she had not really recovered completely. She opened up about things she had not mentioned earlier. She talked about her close friends Lilith, Xavier, Constantine and Abby. And she was able to talk it all out, in a way vent all her feelings and get more control over her life. She was able to make the game and was once again happy with what she had accomplished. As a thank you , she went to her therapist with a basket of chocolates and put it on her desk. “Thank you” she said, as the therapist replied, “I am glad to be of help and I will see you on Monday”. Anya smiled as she was taken back to her room in the asylum. The therapist packed her bag as she wrote on Anya’s chart “ Patient is displaying full blown schizophrenia and now believes she is a game designer”.
