Xavier was exceptionally intelligent but always kept his hobbies to himself as his parents never really took an interest in anything other than his academics. One day something happened, and he slowly started becoming an introvert who loved to spend his time watching documentaries on space and the unexplored universe. In recent times he would often get so indulged in these shows that he would forget to eat, sleep or even get up for several hours at end. This led him to many health issues and eventually his mother stepped in and took matters into her own hands. She would make him go on walks with her, but she noticed something wasn’t right. During a certain part of the walk, right as they crossed the chess park, he would walk faster and avoid the area completely. After a bit of due diligence his mother found out that he is a very good chess player that once beat the best player in the park, old man who unfortunately passed away the next day, making it the man’s last game. After this Xavier was not seen by the other players as he began to blame himself for the man’s death. His mother found this very concerning as it was clearly not his fault but when she brought it up, he cried and ran to his room on the mention of the word chess. His parents realized their mistake of not taking interest in his hobbies and started to do so but he never really got out of the secure shell he made is room into.
